Fortnite players understand that there's nothing more special in the battle royale than the end of a Season. Each Season's closing event is when Epic Games puts its best foot forward, launching massive cinematic events and implementing game-changing new content. There is one exception, however. A Fortnite Season-ender is outdone only by a bigger event -- the end of a Chapter. Now Fortnite players have a date to keep in mind, as Epic's confirmed Chapter 2's finale event will occur on December 4 at 4:00 PM ET.
Anticipation has been climbing for some time with Fortnite players knowing that Chapter 2's conclusion was rapidly approaching. The Convergence has ended, with the Golden Cube and the Corruption Cubes coming together to create a pyramid shrine at the Cube Queen's feet. The ruler of the Last Reality plans to end Reality Zero, the universe of Fortnite, and leave nothing behind. The end of Fortnite Chapter 2 will bring the Cube Queen's saga to its thrilling conclusion.
All Epic is willing to say about Chapter 2's conclusion is that the event is named The End and that it'll revolve around players fighting back against the Cube Queen. Epic also describes it as a "battle for your legacy," and that "nothing will ever be the same." Needless to say, it's going to be a meaningful experience.
Players who want to participate in The End of Fortnite Season 2 will have to set their alarm clocks. The End event playlist will officially open up 30 minutes prior to its start, so squads will want to group up around 3:30 PM ET on December 4. Epic is also allowing players to queue as groups of up to 16 players, so everyone can enjoy The End with their friends. The End is a one-time-only in-game event, so Fortnite fans won't want to miss it.
Those who participate in The End, Fortnite's finale for Chapter 2, will be given a couple of special unique prices. Participation rewards a special Loading Screen, as well as a special Wrap. Also, anyone who logs into Fortnite before the end of the Season will receive a bonus of 225,000 XP, because the Season is technically ending a day early.
Lastly, Epic plans on celebrating The End of Chapter 2 in Fortnite a little early. A rare Power Leveling Weekend is going to start on November 26 at 7:00 PM ET and will last through November 29 at 7:00 AM ET. It's one last chance for players to capitalize on Fortnite's Season 8-exclusive content, before The End transforms the battle royale into something entirely new in Chapter 3. It should be a Fortnite event to remember.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
